This massive Island is best enjoyed by few days or weeks of stay or exploration. Initially, my family had planned a 7days 6 nights stay to experience Phuket's top destinations, secret beaches, best seafood and the nightlife but unfortunately, our trip was shortened by a heartless bombing attack that was meant to scare us, tourists. We were devastated but made the most of our 3 days stay. To be honest, I did struggle with finding the right place to stay here. There are more than 30 beaches in Phuket and I can't believe I can now confidently say this but Patong Beach is the best starting point. Here you can find hotel accommodation ranging from small sizes to luxury ones. Shopping malls and naughty nightlife are just walking distance. I really enjoyed shopping clothes and accessories here like what I love to do in Bangkok. We stayed at Patong V Hotel booked via Booking.com and only paid B 1,623 for 3 nights. If you're looking for a less commercialized Island getaway that even the how-to-get-there-and-from is faced with various worth it challenges, then Koh Samui, Thailand is ideal for you. The vibe is so laid back but adventures can be found anywhere.
